JN4 to JN6 Playable The Accolade Jack Nicklaus JN4 game also used jnc files for its courses. However the format is totally different to the jnc format used in GBC. As a result the GBC Course Converter will not load JN4 courses directly. To load a JN4 course into GBC you must use the GBC Designer. This will load the course which must then be 'saved'. Saving it creates files in the GBC format and these saved files can then be compiled by 'saving as playable in the GBC Designer. Thanks To Clive Ellison for these instructions. Which can be found in the Golden Bears Den Tutorials under "Finding GBC Files" http://www.goldenbearsden.com/down-0-HOME.htm In plain english: Download JN4 Courses or Course to a folder named JN4 Courses. Makes it easier to find this way. You can have the folder anywhere on your hard drives (C) (D) (E) etc, Example: D:/JN4 Courses (This is where I've downloaded my JN4 course) Now: Open up the COURSE DESIGNER not the Course Converter. When the designer is open, click on the little open folder on the top left. Where is says "Look In" go to where you downloaded you JN4 course. Example: D:/JN4 Courses Double Click the course you want to convert. This will open the course in the Designer. Click on FILE and click on "save as", this might as if you want to overwrite the existing file, click "yes" Now: Click on "save as playable" it should default to you JN6 courses folder. Open up your JN6 game and you should see the Converted JN4 course ready to play. If you choose not to have it open in the default courses folder in JN6, Just click on the "Save in" at the top of the "Save Course As" box, and save to your location of choice. You can always load it from here to your JN6/Data/Course/ folder when you want to play it.
